Description:
Ensure that the Tax-Advantaged Investments unit ( TAI ) plays its part in State Street s success by sourcing, closing and managing tax equity investments in tax-credit eligible alternative energy, low-income housing and similar projects
- Work closely with Tax, Finance, ERM and Treasury leadership to advance TAI s strategic approach to the marketplace, internal governance and budget commitments
- Actively engage with industry groups to stay on top of trends and keep State Street name in view
- Develop and maintain marketplace contacts to cultivate deal flow
- Select transactions for execution
- Lead transaction due diligence, including assembling underwriting team, performing modeling and analysis, making site visits, negotiating deal terms and securing internal approvals
- Oversee management of existing tax equity portfolio
- Identify and communicate legislative and regulatory issues that may require active State Street response
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- MBA or MSF
- 5 - 10 years experience with structuring, negotiating, reviewing or managing tax equity transactions
- 5 - 10 years experience with credit analysis

- Analytic strength, including relevant structuring, modeling, tax and accounting experience
