Individual Awards
The Novogradac Community Development Foundation will honor special achievement in the field of community development at the 2nd annual Developing Thriving Communities Conference, October 1-3, 2008 in St. Louis. The conference is presented by Novogradac & Company LLP. The awards will be chosen from projects nominated by Novogradac conference attendees, subscribers to the New Markets Tax Credit Report and other industry colleagues.

Award Descriptions
Federal Legislator of the Year
The Federal Legislator of the Year Award is given to a member of Congress who has substantially assisted in the advancement of community development policy agenda and legislative priorities.
State Legislator of the Year
The State Legislator of the Year Award is given to a member of a state legislature who has substantially assisted in the advancement of community development policy agenda and legislative priorities.
Public Executive of the Year
Nominees for this award are governors, mayors or other elected holders of executive office who have had a particularly strong impact on the field of community development, either locally or state-wide. Preference may be given to those executives whose important work often goes unnoticed.
