The Director of LIHTC Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the activities of the LIHTC Asset Management team. This team is responsible for a full range of asset management activities over the life of the investment including performing property and portfolio level analysis, forecasting, risk rating, watch list, appraisals, and performance trends. The group coordinates with Finance to obtain annual financial statement reviews as well as Counterparty Risk Oversight for ongoing counterparty review. The group works with the Acquisition Team regarding investment decisions, escalating issues to the Investment Committee for guidance and the Equity SAM group for workout, if necessary.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • 7 to 10 years experience in a top financial services, capital markets, insurance or a similar financial services institution with a demonstrated career progression and proven track record of success in the multifamily industry.
  • 5 or more years in a leadership or management role with demonstrated experience in staff management, leadership, and team building.
  • Strong understanding of equity asset management practices and real estate equity financing.
  • Detailed understanding of credit risk measurement and mitigation concepts, in general and as applicable to Fannie Mae.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, partner management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of Section 42 regulations and the tax credit industry.
