Description:
The National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF), the largest non-profit syndicator of low-income housing tax credits, is seeking a Proprietary Transaction Analyst. The primary function of this position is to provide analytical and operational support as low-income housing tax credit investments are sold to proprietary funds, assist in presenting and preparing material for the third party due diligence review of NEF s fund investment. Duties include: assist the VP and SVP in organizing materials needed for underwriting and closing LIHTC transactions with an end investor, obtain and interpret data from various sources to prepare investor templates in Word and Excel on proposed LIHTC investment properties and schedule and attend some investors site visits, as needed, develop and maintain knowledge about real estate underwriting and Section 42 requirements.

Responsibilties:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor in business, economics, urban planning or finance. A minimum of one year business experience in finance or real estate; an understanding of non-profit housing community development and commitment to working with diverse, low income communities a plus. Prior experience with affordable housing loans or investments and knowledge of state and local programs a plus. Skill sets must include excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, exemplary oral/written communication and proficient computer skills in Word and Excel strongly preferred. Must be able to do limited travel.
