2017 Metroploitan Community Impact DOD Winner Triborough Preservation Partners

The New York City Housing Authority chose Triborough Preservation Partners (TPP) to renovate 875 units of housing at six properties in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn. The apartments suffered for years from deferred maintenance and a lack of funding for capital improvements, but TPP assumed responsibility for the rehabilitation and property management, addressing the obvious needs and transforming the living environment. Triborough Preservation includes 1.3 million square feet of housing.

“The magnitude of this development despite being in New York City is awe-inspiring,” said Rochelle E. Lento, a Development of Distinctions judge. “A development, with 875 units within six buildings, clearly transformed those communities and areas of the city.”
