The Baldwin Piano Company in Cincinnati was the nation’s leading manufacturer of pianos beginning in 1862, leading the city to designate the Baldwin Piano Building as a local landmark. CASTO and Neyer Properties worked together to renovate and restore the historic building as The Baldwin, which includes its clock tower, rounded-arch openings, 13-foot ceilings and expansive windows. It now comprises 190 one- and two-bedroom loft-style apartments, as well as generous amenities.

The renovation eliminated thousands of pounds of demolition waste and ensured that The Baldwin’s history is retained and is a part of the community. The features of The Baldwin are apparent from any approach and it once again is a thriving part of the community.
