CONGRESS EXTENDS THE INCREASED GO ZONE HISTORIC TAX CREDIT

The House last night passed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010 by a vote of 277-148. The Senate approved the bill on December 15 by a vote of 81-19. The president is expected the sign the bill into law today. Among other things, the measure extends the increase in the rehabilitation tax credit for property placed in service through the end of 2011 in the Gulf Opportunity (GO) Zone.
