CONGRESSMAN REINTRODUCES HISTORIC PRESERVATION TAX CREDIT BILL

Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - 8:00AM

U.S. Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, introduced the Historic Homeownership Revitalization Act of 2013 to create a tax credit of up to $60,000 for qualified rehabilitations of historic homes. The bill would extend to owner-occupied historic homes the existing federal historic tax credit, which currently only applies to commercial property. Turner originally introduced a similar bill in 2011, but it later died in committee. The text of the current bill will be posted on www.historictaxcredits.com as soon as it becomes available.
