The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) yesterday released its preliminary plan for implementing the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The proposed plan, which is subject to change, addresses how DCA will implement both the Tax Credit Exchange program and the Tax Credit Assistance program. The agency said it released the preliminary plan to help developers get their projects “shovel ready” as soon as possible. DCA will hold a Q&A meeting on the preliminary plan on Wednesday, April 15.
