Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson signed legislation to extend the state historic tax credit (HTC) for 10 years and double the annual statewide cap. H.B. 1555 extends the sunset date from Dec. 31, 2027, to Dec. 31, 2037, and increases the statewide annual cap from $4 million to $8 million starting in 2022. When the bill was introduced, the proposed cap was $10 million.
