Historic Tax Credit Coalition Urges HTC Advocacy
The Historic Tax Credit Coalition (HTCC) last week urged its members to contact their members in the House of Representatives to advocate for retention of the historic tax credit (HTC) as part of a reformed tax code. House Republican leaders are meeting this week to discuss a path for comprehensive tax reform, which may put tax credits and deductions in danger of elimination. The HTCC said any period of uncertainty about the future of the HTC could negatively affect the HTC market and the timing of transactions in pre-development stages. The HTCC offers advocacy guides and resources on its website.
