One hundred seventy-nine members of the House of Representatives signed a letter to House leadership Monday, asking for COVID-19-related relief, including a delay in the phasedown of existing renewable energy tax incentives and the option to allow renewable energy tax credits to be received as direct payments. The letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., highlights the loss of nearly 600,000 jobs in the clean energy industry through April and calls for a series of policies to provide relief and certainty.
