HUD Announces Additional $1 Billion in CDBG Funding for COVID-19 Relief to Benefit Every State and Insular Area

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today announced the allocation of $1 billion in funding to states for COVID-19 relief through the Community Development Block Grant program. The funding is provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The allocation formula emphasizes states hardest hit by unemployment. Every state and insular area will receive a portion of the funds.
