The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has published in today’s Federal Register the names of the six housing authorities that received HOPE VI Revitalization Grants for fiscal year 2009. The six housing authorities received a total of $113.6 million. The grants are being awarded to: Housing Authority of the City of Charlotte, Charlotte, N.C., $20.9 million for Boulevard Homes; Housing Authority of Covington, Covington, Ky., $17 million for Jacob Price Homes; Housing Authority of the City of Dallas, Dallas, Texas, $22 million for Turner Courts; Housing Authority of the City of Jersey City, Jersey City, N.J., $9.7 million for A. Harry Moore Apartments; Memphis Housing Authority, Memphis, Tenn., $22 million for Clearborn Homes; and Housing Authority of the City of Trenton, Trenton, N.J., $22 million for Miller Homes. HUD originally announced the grantees on its Web site on May 26, 2010 and published the names today in accordance with section 102(a)(4)(C) of the HUD Reform Act of 1989.
