HUD Awards $28 Billion in CDBG-DR Grants to Nine States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development today awarded $28 billion in long-term disaster recovery aid to nine states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands through the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. The CDBG-DR grants will address housing, business and infrastructure damage from the series of 2017 major hurricanes–Harvey, Irma and Maria–and other major disasters since 2015.
