HUD Extends Certain AFS Filing Deadlines Until June 30
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today extended the filing deadline for certain annual financial statements (AFS) to June 30 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The extension covers AFS originally required to be filed on or before March 31 (typically entities with Dec. 31 year-ends) and April 30 (typically entities with Jan. 31 year-ends). The extension is applicable to AFS due within the above period and required to be submitted through HUD’s Financial Assessment Subsystem to comply with the requirement of the Real Estate Assessment Center under the Uniform Financial Reporting Standards published in the Federal Register Sept. 1, 1998.
