HUD Extends Effective Date for 2015 DDAs, QCTs for Disaster Areas

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 - 9:30AM

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will publish in tomorrow’s Federal Register an extension from 730 days to 850 days that 2015 designations of difficult development areas (DDAs) and qualified census tracts (QCTs) are in effect for low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) developments in areas that were approved this year for individual assistance under the Stafford Act due to being in presidentially declared natural disaster areas. The extension applies only to properties for which applications were submitted while the area was a 2015 QCT or DDA and if the area wasn’t on subsequent lists of DDAs or QCTs.
