HUD REQUESTS COMMENT ON RECOVERY ACT REPORTING
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in today’s Federal Register issued an emergency request for comment related to its American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Section 1512 reporting. HUD is requesting comment on the revised information collection requirement that it submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for emergency review. The comments are being solicited to evaluate if the proposed information collection is necessary for the proper performance of the agency’s functions; evaluate the accuracy of the agency’s estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; enhance the quality, utility and clarity of the collected information; and minimize the burden of information collection on those who are to respond. Affected programs include the Tax Credit Assistance and Community Development Block Grant programs. Interested parties should submit comments by April 2.
The Recovery Act will be the focus of Novogradac & Company’s conference Working with LIHTCs in an ARRA World, May 13-14, 2010 in New Orleans, La.
