HUD Seeks Comments on OZ Certification Form
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will publish a notice in Thursday’s Federal Register seeking public comment on a proposed opportunity zones (OZ) certification form. The form will be used to gather data for use in determining preference points in certain competitive federal grants and technical assistance applications. The notice says the information will be used to help guide HUD through future grant awards and inform HUD’s strategy to maximize nonprofit and private sector investment in OZs. Comments on the form will be accepted through Dec. 9.
