Monday, September 28, 2020 - 8:30am
The Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) approved a state qualified allocation plan and issued notices of funding availability for the state low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) program for the first time since 2017, when then-Gov. Eric Greitens and the MHDC voted to stop matching federal LIHTC awards with state funds. The state 9 percent LIHTC is funded for 70 percent of the federal allocation amount for 2020 and the 4 percent state LIHTC is funded for $3 million. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. CST Oct. 30.
State housing tax credits and other issues concerning the LIHTC will be discussed Thursday and Friday at the Novogradac 2020 Credit and Bond Financing for Affordable Housing Virtual Conference.
