Nebraska State LIHTC Rules Announcement Delayed
Friday, September 16, 2016 - 2:00pm
The Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) announced today that the process and publication of proposed rules for the new state low-income housing tax credit won’t start until several administrative matters, policy questions and internal management protocols are reviewed or clarified. The review and clarification process could take another 30 to 60 days, according to the NIFA. The Nebraska affordable housing tax credit was passed in the Legislature this year and will be available for developments placed in service after Jan. 1, 2018.
