OCC Publishes Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on CRA Measurement Thresholds
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today published a notice of proposed rulemaking requesting comment on its approach to determine Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) measurement thresholds. The OCC notice also concerns retail lending distribution test thresholds and community development minimums under the general performance standards. The OCC published a final rule in May for CRA regulation and is now seeking to set evaluation measure benchmarks. President-elect Joe Biden may appoint new leadership at the OCC, which could lead to a rescinding of the final rule. Comments on the proposed thresholds must be received by Feb. 2, 2021.
