Ohio Opens Window to Apply for Transformational Mixed Use Tax Credit Program
The Ohio Department of Development opened Tuesday the window to apply for its Transformational Mixed Use Development program, which provides a tax credit against costs incurred while building a development. One-hundred million dollars is available in estimated tax credits per year for fiscal years (FY) 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. This includes new construction and/or improvement of vacant buildings, but must be a combination of retail, office, residential, recreational, structured parking and other possibilities into one mixed-use endeavor. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. EST Oct. 29 through the department’s website. Both the application and a $2,500, nonrefundable application fee are due by the deadline to be considered for the FY 2022 round.
