Oregon Housing and Community Services Releases Affordable Housing Development Report

Each $1 that Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) invests in affordable housing development in Oregon generates as much as $15 in economic benefit across the state, according to the report “Housing as an Economic Stimulus” released yesterday by Oregon Housing and Community Services. The agency's report also found that every $1 in project labor income generates an additional $1.20 or more in labor income across the state; each job supported or created through housing development generates another one or more at the local level; and every $10,000 in rental income generates more than $19,000 in economic activity across the state.
