Prefiled New Hampshire Bill Would Create State Housing HTC
A bill prefiled in New Hampshire–to be formally introduced in January–would create a historic housing tax credit (HTC) with an annual cap of $10 million and a project cap of $1 million per year for income-creating residential properties. S.B. 364 would allow investors to make a contribution to the state housing finance authority for specific projects and receive a 65% credit in return. The tax credit could be carried forward up to five years. The credit would be effective June 30, 2024.
