Puerto Rico Releases Draft OZ Regulations
The Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce announced the release of draft opportunity zone (OZ) regulations Thursday that establish the rules, requirements and criteria that will be used for the request and issuance of decrees. The draft regulations will be available for comment for 30 days. The regulations will apply to any person who intends to establish or who has already established an eligible business on the island that received designation as an OZ priority project by the Committee of Priority Projects in Opportunity Zones and requested a decree from the director of the Incentives Office.
