SEN. BAUCUS INTRODUCES SECTION 1603, 48C, BIOMASS, CREBS PROGRAM EXTENSIONS

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., yesterday introduced the Middle Class Tax Cut Act of 2010. The act includes extensions of numerous affordable housing, new markets and renewable energy bonds and tax credits. Among other provisions, the bill would extend the Section 1603 payment in lieu of production and investment tax credits grant program, provide an additional $2.5 billion in funding for the Section 48C advanced energy manufacturing tax credit, extend the production tax credit for certain open-loop biomass facilities, and allocate an additional $1.6 billion in Clean Renewable Energy Bonds.
