Senate Confirms Patenaude as HUD Deputy Secretary

The U.S. Senate today confirmed Pamela Patenaude as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by an 80-17 vote. Patenaude will handle much of the day-to-day operations of HUD and will lead the department’s Disaster Management Group, where she will play a primary role in coordinating the long-term efforts of 16 programs and support offices. Patenaude served as HUD’s assistant secretary for community planning and development under President George W. Bush and was most recently the president of the J. Ronald Terwilliger Foundation for Housing America’s Families.
