An amended version of H.R. 5297, the Small Business Jobs Act, was released yesterday by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship Chair Mary Landrieu, D-La. The bill’s provisions are meant to help small businesses access capital, stimulate investment in small businesses and promote entrepreneurship. Among other things, H.R. 5297 would extend the carryback for general business credits to five years for certain small businesses.
