Treasury Revises Emergency Rental Assistance Program FAQs

The U.S. Department of the Treasury today provided a revised frequently asked questions (FAQs) document to act as guidance for Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program requirements. Among the revisions in the FAQs, Treasury is allowing self-attestation to document most eligibility requirements for applicants. Given the challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this allows grantees to extend this emergency assistance to vulnerable populations without imposing undue documentation burdens. The FAQs will be supplemented by additional guidance.
