Trump Orders HUD to Suspend Evictions, Foreclosures Through April
President Donald Trump today said he has directed the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to suspend evictions and foreclosures through April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Trump made the announcement at a White House press briefing. At the time of this writing HUD has not released specifics. HUD’s website says it provides housing to more than 4.3 million low-income families through its public housing, rental subsidy and voucher programs.
