Tuesday, June 3, 2003 - 1:45AM

This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Housing Office published an 82-page proposed rule in the Federal Register that, if implemented, will replace nearly all of the existing Multi-Family Housing (MFH) program regulations for Section 515 Rural Rental Housing and Section 514/516 Farm Labor Housing. The proposed rewrite covers loan making, loan servicing (including prepayment) and property management.  According to the notice, the intent of the proposal is to streamline and consolidate USDA's MFH rules.
