West Virginia Governor Vetoes Bill to Exempt New Qualified OZ Businesses from Income Tax

Legislation that would have exempted new qualified opportunity zones businesses from corporate net income tax and personal income tax for 10 years was vetoed by Gov. Jim Justice. H.B. 2828 would have allowed businesses newly registered after Jan. 1, 2019, to be exempt for their first decade.
