Property Compliance News Briefs – November 2019

Tuesday, November 5, 2019

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency released a notice Sept. 23 with updates to compliance regulations that were scheduled to go into effect Nov. 1. The notice explains that the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) lease addendum should be used on all units unless a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development model lease or United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development lease is required, and that a LIHTC lease addendum should be used each time a new lease is signed. If a tenant has signed their recertification or move-in paperwork, the property manager should include a clarification record stating the tenant’s paperwork was completed before Nov. 1.
