The Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) issued two requests for proposals on Aug. 19. The 2013 Place-Based Strategies Fund has $500,000 available to assist local partners in improving neighborhoods and revitalizing the communities. The Carol Mount Peterson Resident Development Fund has $750,000 available to support initiatives designed to help residents reach their social, economic and educational potential. The resident development fund has five core areas: health and wellness; youth empowerment and education; adult opportunities for growth; enriching the lives of seniors; and innovative strategies. The application deadline for the resident development fund was Sept. 20. The application deadline for the Place-Based Strategies Fund was Oct. 1.

The Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) sent out a memo to owners of low-income housing tax credit rent-restricted housing projects on September 3 regarding the required filing of information with county assessors. Information that NIFA required was income and expense data for the project for the prior year (via the Income and Expense Reporting Form) and a description of the applicable land use restrictions that applied to the project. In addition, a copy of the Income and Expense Reporting Form was to be sent to NIFA via email to [email protected]. The deadline to submit the information listed above was Oct. 1.

The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority announced Aug. 19 that the fee for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Milwaukee office reviews for 2013 is $47 per unit per month, effective Sept. 1. The per unit per month amount is used to establish the management fee percentage.
