In this week’s Tax Credit Tuesday Podcast, Michael J. Novogradac, CPA, starts off with the general news section, where he reviews the latest efforts to enact tax reform and the major stumbling blocks that are currently preventing it from moving forward. He also provides a short update on the status of funding the federal government, as the continuing resolution is scheduled to expire at the end of next week. In low-income housing tax credit news, he talks about HUD’s recent release of the fiscal year 2017 income limits and some of his initial observations. He also discusses recent report findings by HUD about low-income housing tax credit tenants, and after that he shares some insights with listeners from Novogradac’s newest edition of the Novogradac Multifamily Rental Housing Operating Expense Report. He closes out with new markets tax credit news, where he discusses A.B. 1715, a bill to create a California state new markets tax credit.
