Privacy Policy

Use of Novogradac & Company Web Sites in General:

This Privacy Policy applies to web sites and mobile device applications owned and/or operated by Novogradac & Company LLP (individually and collectively a “Site” or the “Sites”).

Novogradac & Company LLP respects the privacy of every visitor to its Sites. Except as disclosed in this policy, we do not gather information from visitors to our Sites. You can visit Novogradac & Company LLP on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. The browser-based Sites are not currently able to detect and honor a visitor’s “do not track” browser settings. We will update this privacy policy once we have reprogrammed our browser-based Sites to check and honor such visitor browser settings. Novogradac & Company LLP will not collect any personally identifiable information about you (e.g., your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address) by means of a Sites unless you provide such personal data to us by completing an online form, including those related to purchases and event registrations. If you do not want your personal data collected, please do not submit it to us. In order to engage in certain activities on the Sites, such as requesting that we send you information (including our newsletters), ordering and purchasing products, or registering for conferences and workshops, Novogradac & Company LLP may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, Novogradac & Company LLP may require that you provide your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and other personal identifying information in order to complete your transaction.

Automatic Data Collection and the Use of "Cookies":

In some cases, Novogradac & Company LLP may automatically (i.e., not via registration or online form) collect technical information when you connect to a Site that is not personally identifiable; examples of this type of information include the type of Internet browser you are using, the type of computer operating system you are using and the domain name of the Site from which you linked to a particular Site. Novogradac & Company LLP may also place a file on your computer (commonly referred to as a "Cookie") in order to help us track information such as the number of unique visitors a browser-based Site receives or the number of visitors to a particular Site who purchase our products. If you have set your browser to refuse Cookies, we will not be able to place a Cookie on your computer. This may limit or prevent your ability to engage in certain transactions with us via our  browser-based Sites.

Use of Information obtained via our Sites:

Novogradac & Company LLP understands the importance of responsible use of the information we obtain from visitors to our Sites. Novogradac & Company LLP collects this information in order to record and support your participation in the activities in which you elect to engage with us. Novogradac & Company LLP also uses information that you provide as part of its effort to keep you informed about product revisions, special offers, upcoming events and other Novogradac & Company LLP products and services. Novogradac & Company LLP may provide such information to third parties vendors with whom we contract in order to fulfill your requests and orders. Examples of such vendors include, without being limited to, service bureaus that handle our mailings, copy shops and fax/email broadcasting companies. We may also disclose such information to persons and organizations who collaborate with us in producing events, including without limitation conference sponsors, speakers, hospitality companies and production companies. Lists of the names and employers of attendees at our conference and workshops may also be provided to other actual or prospective attendees at that or future events, unless you notify us in writing that you elect to have your information excluded from distributed lists.  We must also disclose your information to appropriate authorities if such disclosure is required by law or valid legal process.

Access by Children under the Age of 13:

Our Sites are primarily intended for use by businesses and professionals in the affordable housing, community development, historic preservation, renewable energy, historic preservation and opportunity zone fields. It is not intended that the Sites be used by minors. No part of our Sites are structured to attract children under the age 13. Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 are hereby instructed to exit this Site without providing your own personally identifiable information to us.

Residents of the European Union:

At this time, our professional services, events and products are not targeted towards residents of the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  Natural persons currently located in the EEA should not submit inquiries, place orders on this Site, or otherwise provide us with their Personally Identifiable Information (as that term is defined in the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation).

Security of -E-Commerce Transactions with Us:

We strive to protect the security of your information during transmission of online orders to us by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input. We reveal only the last four digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. We utilize security-certified payment processing companies located in North America for credit card authorization and settlement purposes. To further protect against credit card fraud, we only receive a tokenized substitute for your credit card number. If you choose to save your credit card information during a purchase, we save only the tokenized substitute for your credit card number. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to close all browser windows when finished if using a shared computer.

By using our Sites, you accept and agree to this Privacy Policy, and you consent to the data collection and use described herein. We may from time to time change our Privacy Policy after first posting the revised Privacy Policy on our Sites. For this reason, you should revisit our Privacy Policy page before each time you provide personally identifiable information.
