NMTC Program Director, Self-Help

Amanda Frazier Wong is NMTC program director at Self-Help. Self-Help is one of the nation’s largest and oldest nonprofit community development financial institutions. Through a mission to create and protect ownership and economic opportunity for all, Self-Help has provided more than $6 billion in financing to more than 75,000 borrowers.  Ms. Wong manages compliance and investments for Self-Help’s $328 million in new markets tax credit (NMTC) allocations. Her role also includes debt and equity fundraising and investor relationship management for the organization more broadly.  Prior to joining Self-Help, Ms. Wong worked as a research and policy analyst at the Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey, a project manager at the New Jersey Public Policy Research Institute and as a special projects consultant at Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Rollins College and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from the Bloustein School at Rutgers University.
