Anne Staudhammer heads AIG global real estate’s initiative acquiring state tax credits throughout the U.S., with a particular focus on state historic tax credits (HTCs) of $5 million or more in size. She led the development of AIG’s state HTC investment platform, which was launched in 2015. Her team is responsible for originating, underwriting, closing and funding each investment. She initially engaged with historic renovation during her college years, through University Cooperative Housing Association’s renovation of Richard Neutra’s Landfair Apartments. Ms. Staudhammer has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, and joined AIG in 1999. Before developing the state HTC platform, she handled key lender relationships for AIG Affordable Housing (then known as SunAmerica Affordable Housing), in conjunction with its ownership of more than 160,000 low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC)-funded apartment units. Before joining AIG, Ms. Staudhammer was with the commercial lending arm of a Fortune 100 Company, focusing on development joint ventures and management of a proprietary REIT. She holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and an master's degree from the Anderson School at UCLA. She serves on the board of directors of Homeless Health Care Los Angeles.
