
Brent Parker, CPA
Brent Parker is a partner in the Long Beach, California, office of Novogradac. Parker is experienced in affordable housing and community development, nonprofit organizations and public housing authorities, and renewable energy. He has a particular focus on investments in qualified opportunity funds, the low-income housing tax credit, and renewable energy (investment tax credit) and energy efficient home (IRC Section 45L) tax credits, rebates and grants included in the Inflation Reduction Act. In addition to providing various consulting services, Parker leads extensive tax planning and tax return preparation engagements for a wide variety of clientele and works extensively on financial statement audits, reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements. In response to growing demand, Parker has become a frequent presenter on opportunity zones panels and workshops in several states. He is also a contributor to the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits and Tax Credit Tuesday Podcasts and leads professional development efforts on complex taxation concepts. Parker received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and is a certified public accountant in California.
