Brent Parker, CPA


Brent Parker is a partner in the Long Beach, California, office of Novogradac. Parker is experienced in affordable housing and community development, working with nonprofit organizations and public housing authorities, and in renewable energy. He has a particular focus on the low-income housing tax credit, investments in qualified opportunity funds, and renewable energy (investment tax credit) and energy efficient home (IRC Section 45L) tax credits, rebates and grants included in the Inflation Reduction Act. In addition to providing various consulting services, Parker leads extensive tax planning and tax return preparation engagements for a wide variety of clientele and works extensively on financial statement audits, reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements. In response to growing demand, Parker has become a frequent presenter on opportunity zones panels and workshops in several states. He is also a contributor to the Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits and Tax Credit Tuesday podcast and leads professional development efforts on complex taxation concepts. Parker received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and is a certified public accountant in California.
