George Barlow is a partner in the Dover, Ohio, office of Novogradac, where he specializes in new markets tax credits (NMTCs), historic tax credits (HTCs), renewable energy tax credits (RETCs), the opportunity zones (OZ) incentive and other state tax credits and incentives. Mr. Barlow has consulted on more than 400 tax credit transactions with cumulative development financing exceeding $5 billion. He works with real estate developers, community development entities, syndicators, lenders and investors on the complex structuring, financing and syndication of NMTC, HTC, RETC and OZ transactions. He also advises on tax and regulatory matters in addition to providing traditional audit, cost certifications and tax services. Mr. Barlow earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in accounting from Kent State University. He is licensed as a certified public accountant in Ohio.
