Jeffrey T. Nishita, CPA


Jeffrey Nishita is a partner in the San Francisco office of Novogradac & Company LLP. Mr. Nishita performs various services in the real estate industry, including audit and tax services, consulting, forecasting, LIHTC and tax exempt bond application assistance, and training. He is experienced with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), A-133, CalHFA, HCD, CHFA, NJHMFA, and OHCS audit requirements. In addition, he is in charge of maintaining the firm’s Financial Forecast Model. He works with for-profit and nonprofit developers, syndicators and direct investors. Mr. Nishita also speaks at various affordable housing conferences throughout the year and is a technical editor for the firm’s Special Reports. He is a cofounder of the firm’s LIHTC Working Group, a membership organization that addresses technical issues in the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) industry. He is also the founder of the firm’s community service program. Mr. Nishita has served on the Housing Colorado NOW! Conference Planning Committee since 2013. Before joining Novogradac, Mr. Nishita worked with several start-up companies and small businesses in executive positions. He graduated from Santa Clara University, receiving a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in operations, entrepreneurship, managing technology and innovation, and finance and received a bachelor’s degree in business economics with a concentration in accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Accounting Department at Santa Clara University. He is licensed in California and Colorado as a certified public accountant
