Guest Speaker: John Nolde
John D. Nolde joined Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A., in 2000 and is a shareholder with the firm. He practices in real estate and corporate law, with extensive experience in the areas of low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds financings. John represents developers, equity investors, tax credit investors, and served as lead developer's counsel on the recent Pillsbury A-Mill and Schmidt Brewery historic rehabilitation projects. Prior to joining Winthrop & Weinstine, John worked in the office of Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson and with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. As counsel to numerous real estate owners, developers and tax credit investors at both lower tier and upper tier levels, John advises clients on a number of complex development and finance-related issues, including the use of tax-exempt bonds; tax increment financing; historic and low income tax credits; and acquisition and disposition of partnership interests. He has specific expertise in Year 15 dispositions from both the investor and developers perspectives and restructuring of troubled low-income housing projects.
