Matt joined Berkadia in 2020 as a debt originator, focused on providing creative and comprehensive financing solutions to owners and developers of multifamily affordable housing.

Since beginning his career in affordable housing in 1997, Matt has closed over 300 financings throughout the country, totaling over $4 billion. He has worked on virtually every major type of multifamily affordable housing financing structure, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, direct taxable and tax-exempt bond purchases and loans, letters of credit, securitizations, derivative products, and FHA/GNMA.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Matt was a Director for nine years with Citi Community Capital in New York and Denver, serving as the Northeast Regional Director from 2013 to 2017, originating over $2.5 billion in debt. Earlier in his career, he was a Director with RBC Capital Markets in San Francisco, prior to which he was a Partner with Eichner Norris & Neumann PLLC, a Washington, DC-based law firm specializing in affordable housing bond finance.

Matt volunteers for The Honor Foundation, working with former members of U.S. Special Operations Forces to transition from military to successful civilian careers.
