Megan Murphy, JD


Megan Murphy is a principal located in the Raleigh/Durham metro area, who serves as a part of Novogradac’s national tax practice. Murphy joined Novogradac in 2019 after gaining extensive international and corporate tax background from working at Big Four firms and in-house at an asset manager. At Novogradac, Murphy has been active in the Opportunity Zones Working Group and is a subject matter specialist in COVID-19-response legislation (the Paycheck Protection Program and the employee retention tax credit, among other funding programs) and the Centralized Partnership Audit Regime. Murphy has also assisted low-income housing providers and qualified opportunity funds with PLR requests. Murphy earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and in business administration from Transylvania University and her juris doctorate from the University of Michigan.
