Guest Speaker: Tracy Kaufman
Director, National Housing Trust
Tracy Kaufman joined the National Housing Trust in 2003 and oversees the trust's work on state and local public policy initiatives that are raising awareness of and developing innovative solutions to the complex issues surrounding the preservation of affordable, multifamily housing. She is responsible for developing a comprehensive national database of state preservation policies and programs (www.prezcat.org), is regularly consulted on state preservation policy trends and best practices and frequently participates in housing policy panel discussions. Ms. Kaufman has 20 years of experience in housing and community development and has authored or coauthored more than a dozen reports, guides and newsletter articles on affordable housing issues. She earned a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and a master's in public policy from the Public Policy Institute at Georgetown University.
