QLICI Project Data

Qualified low-income community investment (QLICI) projects in each state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico have been added to the NMTC Mapping Tool. This information is based on the CDFI Fund’s NMTC Public Data Release: 2003-2019, which was released December 2021. The NMTC public data covers NMTC activities reported from fiscal year (FY) 2003 through FY 2019 and is taken from data submitted by program allocatees prior to Sept. 30, 2020. The data file contains information on 6,822 projects in which community development entities have made investments through FY 2019.

To access QLICI project data, launch the mapping tool using the link above and select “New Map” and from the menu that appears select “NMTC Qualified Low-Income Community Investment (QLICI) Projects” then select “NMTC QLICI Projects”. To remove the eligibility overlay from the map, deselect the “Status” data.

Static maps with QLICI projects by state are also available.

The CDFI Fund’s NMTC Public Data Release: 2003-2019 data file does not include street addresses for each project. Therefore, project or business locations are displayed as points at the center of the census tract in which it is located.

Updated for 117th (2021-2022) Congressional Districts

Novogradac and PolicyMap have updated this tool and the data in the searchable maps below reflects the 117th Congressional district boundaries as determined by the 2010 census.

Updated Eligibility Data

Both sets of data–2006-2010 data and 2011-2015 American Community Survey (ACS) low-income community (LIC)–will be available in the NMTC Mapping Tool.

The 2011-2015 data is displayed by default. When a user clicks on the map, the info bubble displays values based on the 2011-2015 eligibility data.

To change the time frame to 2006-2010, click on “Expand Legend” on the right-hand side of the map, and select 2006-2010 from the “Year” dropdown menu.
