The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation accepted applications through Jan. 15 for the Rebuild RI Tax Credit Program. The program has up to $15 million in credits available, including historic rehabilitation properties, affordable housing and mixed-use development in opportunity zones (OZs).
The Iowa Economic Development Authority in mid-October 2019 announced $10 million in workforce housing tax credits for qualified housing projects in 10 presidentially declared disaster areas. Eligible projects include single-family or multifamily new construction or rehabilitation, as well as upper-story housing development.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) released its latest Eye on Housing newsletter Nov. 16. This issue provides an update on the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. According to the analysis, NAHB estimated that as of 2013, approximately 13.3 million people had resided in homes financed by the LIHTC program.
