The nearly $2.2 trillion CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act contains numerous tax, grant, and loan provisions designed to provide financial aid to individuals, businesses, nonprofits and state and local governments, to help address the tremendous health and economic fallout from the public health emergency.
The bill does not contain any targeted community development-related tax provisions. Absent specific guidance in those areas, the Novogradac Webinar: Phase 3 COVID-19 Response Bill's Effect on Affordable Housing and Community Development will discuss the bill's overall impact on these industries and how to address economic needs moving forward.
